Help for alcohol & drug problems

Addiction and Related Problems

Drugs and alcohol have a way of multiplying problems. Common problems include dealing with crisis, feeling overwhelmed, lack of motivation, obsessive thoughts, compulsive behaviors, cravings, anxiety, depression, feeling worthless, ashamed, unlovable, and how to deal with it all.  In the course of our alcohol and drug counseling services we address addiction and related problems at many different levels. No matter what you face, we want to help you win the fight for recovery.

How Addiction Counseling Works

We want you to be a contender in the fight for recovery. Whether you are just starting to notice problems, have had multiple treatment attempts, or want to work through some stuff we can help you go the distance. There are life and death issues at hand so our solutions are tailor made for you. We don’t do programs. So we don’t prescribe the same steps for everybody.  We work from a home office which puts us in a position to help you through a year of recovery. Thanks to advances in alcohol and drug counseling services, most people can receive the help they need while living their life.

Todd Davis, PhD, MFT, LADC is familiar with many approaches to recovery. Some have a long history of helping people while others are backed by scientific studies or personal testimonies.  What’s important for your recovery is that the approach you develop actually works for you. One size does not fit all.  Most approaches seek to change the way you think, feel, or act. Some approaches focus on being rather than doing. Finally, there are approaches that focus on surrender and transformation. Here is a short list of things…

  • Cognitive Behavior Therapy
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
  • Brief Solution Focused Therapy
  • Moral Reconation Therapy
  • AA/NA Attendance
  • 12 Step Work
  • Group Counseling
  • Biblical Counseling

Plan of Care

Crisis Reduction

The stage of crisis reduction is like an emergency room. It is stressful, chaotic, and brief. You might go in dying but you come out alive and committed to getting well. We can help you get started.

Corrective Care

This stage works on correcting what is wrong. Corrective care gets you straightened out and pointed in the right direction.  This can be a challenging stage, you may find that you fight against habits you established a long time ago. Corrective care supports you as you learn new habits and tools. You will develop a compelling vision of who you are and how you live your life.

Wellness Care

The final stage is wellness care and it is the implementation of everything you have learned through crisis, challenges, or changes you never saw coming. Wellness care is about being your best and loving the process.  We want to enhance your whole life at any stage of recovery. We accomplish this through email, text, sessions, group experiences, and workshops.

How to Get Started

You don’t have to know what to say or how to start. We will talk you through it. All you need to know is you are ready to try.

What to Expect

First Session

The first session is an opportunity to get to know each other, share stories, download what’s been happening, and formulate a plan of care. This takes about an hour and a half. We will schedule your next session, go over paperwork, contact information, emergency procedures, next steps, and payment. The cost is $150.

Second Session

The second session and all following sessions are 45 minutes to an hour long. Most people begin the work of recovery motivated by crisis and because of the crisis care they need the second session is usually within a week of the first. This session and all regular sessions are $100.

Length of Care

Everyone responds differently to care. This makes a difference in the length of care they need. That being said, establishing strong recovery skills through the issues of daily life takes a commitment to go the distance. Our services are flexible and tailor made for you so they fit just right.
